According to information acquired by our sources from KCBS.com, an incident ended up wounding a man on Sunday afternoon at about 5:45 pm on February 7th .The man was hit by a fire hydrant which broke off when struck by the wheel chair lift of the San Francisco Municipal Railway bus. It is believed that the victim fell from the wheelchair lift when trying to exit the bus. Due to injuries the passenger was taken to a local hospital where he could be looked over by the staff. It wasn’t until twenty minutes after the initial incident, that the Municipal Railway unexplainably went forward while on a southbound route crashing into a fire hydrant. Due to the crash the streets were flooded with water.
Concurrently A witness who came to the scene of the first injury was hit by the flying fire hydrant. However it seems as though this person was treated on site by a medical team who fled to the initial incident. Due to the water shooting up from the ground flooding of a local building was reported. A man by the name of Sean Shakespeare, a local in the City of San Francisco, witnessed the incident an was able to give a photo. Until toxicology results came back the driver of the bus was temporarily suspended. It was reported that during the clearing of the scene and while investigations of the incident were conducted, the Muni railway was rerouted. This took place on the 22- Fillmore, 6- Parnassus, and 71 Haight Noriega until 7:35 that evening.
